Summer Fun

Halli got to take Hope for a ride in her Jeep. They had sooooo much fun! Hope looks like she is crying, but she is really laughing. I see many more rides in our future.
Hope enjoying the beach. She did really good staying on the blanket and not eating the sand.

I think Halli could live outside. She loves it when we go camping. Thank goodness we had good weather on the coast this weekend.

I love her sweet little face.

Hope likes to make silly faces. She is learning to do so much with her face. It's funny to see what she will come up with each day.

Welcome to Bug Safari

Our church did vacation bible school for 3-5 yrs old. Thank goodness they limited it 150 kiddos. Since they were doing Bug Safari they decided to do it outside. Of course this week is the hottest it has been all summer. Today's temp was 105! Since we are meeting in the morning it isn't as hot, but it is still HOT! I'm doing snacks and Halli is in a group. It was a fun day, but very hot and hectic. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Halli during snack time. All the kids got to prepare there own trail mix while sitting on a blanket. Hopefully tomorrow we can get them some shade.

Thank goodness for pools. There were LOTS of water activities. Halli was soaked before it even started. She really enjoyed getting me wet.

I'm already tired and hot and we haven't even started.
I just got done putting together all the snacks.

Oh to be a kid.... I did join her afterwards. It's a nice way to cool down.

Halli actually found a real grasshopper. She was VERY upset when the cup he was in got misplaced. She's hoping to find another one tomorrow.

Zoo Trip

I took the girls to the zoo a couple weekends ago. It was a little warm! Andy was busy so I thought I could take both girls by myself. No problem. Well, I don't know what I was thinking. It actually wasn't too bad. There was only one time when Halli had to go to the bathroom and I had to tell her to wait till we could get everything cleaned up and get Hope back in the stroller. She didn't like it, but she did it. It was fun to have time with my girls. This was Hope's first time on the train. Halli took our picture. Hope loved the train.
Of course Halli loves the train too. We do the train everytime we go to the zoo.

Our zoo has a nice grass area by the elephants. We always get an elephant ear and snow cone and spend some time in the grass area. Halli likes to run around and chase the birds. This time Hope got to spend some time on the grass. She kept picking the grass and trying to eat it. She doesn't really like grass, so she just sat there and picked it.
One of the very few pictures of me with the girls. We were petting the goats. Goats are very patient. They just sit there and let all these kids pet them.
If only it was a real horse.
The girls sitting in the eagle's nest. Halli loves this nest! She would rather play in the nest than see the eagle.

4th of July

Halli watching fireworks. My parents do a fireworks tent every year so we are always done there on the 4th. The kids get to do some fireworks and then they get to watch the city's fireworks. Hope didn't get to see the fireworks this year. It was just too late. She was fast asleep in the car.

Our first event for the day was the 4th of July parade in Lake Oswego. Halli's preschool was marching in the parade. I decorated the wagon and took the girls. Andy helped me get there, but then had to leave. Thank goodness Grandma and Grandpa were watching the parade. I had to drop Hope off with them half way through the parade. She was falling asleep. Everyone kept commenting on Hope leaning over and closing her eyes. It was cute.

I had a hard time keeping Hope away from the decorations. Oh well.

Our family picture. I love my family!

I'm still here

I noticed it's been awhile since I've posted. We have been really busy. We just got back from camping. I'll be posting about that. Nothing like taking a baby with you while you're tent camping!

This weekend is my 20yr high school reunion. I wasn't going to go, but plans changed. I'll only be able to go to the Friday night adult only party. Should be interesting. I really didn't hang out with anyone in my class. My boyfriend was a year ahead and my best friends were a year behind. I guess I will see who shows up. :)

This Saturday is my Aunt & Uncle's 50th wedding anniversary. I wouldn't miss it for anything. I lived with my aunt & uncle my first two years of college. I love them both dearly. I'm looking forward to seeing a bunch of relatives.

Well, I better get to looking for the camera and uploading those cute pictures of my kiddos!

Field Trip Fun

The last field trip of the year. What a crazy day! Nothing like almost 50 kids running around being crazy. They went to this place that had one of those big tunnel play things. Halli is scared of these and I thought it was going to be a long 2 hours. Well, she decided to go in.This crazy ride most of the kids loved. Halli wouldn't go near it!
She had soooo much fun, until she got lost in the tunnels and all the kids left to get pizza. A teacher and I were crawling around yelling for Halli and all I could hear was a faint voice calling for mom. I don't like the feeling that my child is lost and scared and I can't get to her. Eventually we found her. I think it will be awhile before she is in the tunnels again.

This is my friend's son. He is in Halli's class. They are good friends. He is such a sweetie!
