Can you all please pray for our sweet birthmother. She sent me an e-mail tonight that broke my heart. She is having a difficult time. She knows that she chose what was best for Hope, but her heart still aches for her daughter. She is such a sweet young lady and we do love her dearly. I wish I could be in Alaska and give her another big hug. The last hug I gave her I will treasure till we meet again.

I can tell you that I am a birth mother and that pain she has now never goes away. It's always there with you every minute of every day. It does ease a bit with time but theres always something missing in your life. It's been 19 years for me and it's like I handed Tom and KArens daughter to them yesterday.. Please let her know each and everytime you write her a letter or give her a call that the baby is well and all details help. Also, allow her to know that you love her so very much for the gift she has given you and your husband.... Trust me your not her most fav person at time as you have something that she can't have.. After reading some of your blog you know how it is when you can't have something that you want so bad.. Good luck to you and yours!
